Preparing for Next Year's Adventures

Look at us! We are such dorks. How do we deserve this amazing year ahead of us filled with world travel?! We feel so fortunate!

Wow, it STILL feels so unreal with only a few weeks to go. We will be working for Semester at Sea (essentially, a university on a ship) and traveling to 13 countries. Our itinerary is the following: http://www.semesteratsea.org/voyages/upcoming-voyages/fall-2010.php. So many of these places we would never have visited...or, at least not until we are retired one day. We leave on August 23, 2010 for Semester at Sea and will arrive back in Colorado December 13, 2010.

When we get back from Semester at Sea, we will spend as much time as possible with our family, friends, and kitties. We plan to leave around January 15, 2010, for South Africa. Chris will be working on his field research to complete his PhD in Anthropology. I will let him share more of those details (so, I don't have to be embarrassed when I explain it incorrectly). My goal is to find a job...somehow. I will return in mid-August, 2011, and Chris will return a few months later.

So, we are creating this blog for those of you would like to share this adventure with us. In addition, we hope to view this blog in the future and read about the extraordinary memories we will be creating.

We will miss everyone a ton. Wish us luck!
